Person drowns at Hawke's Bay's Waimarama Beach



Police say someone has drowned at Waimarama Beach in Hawke's Bay today.

Police were called just before 7pm after three people got into trouble in the water.

One person died at the scene and two other were taken to Hawke's Bay Hospital in a moderate condition.

The age and sex of those involved were not immediately available.
